Copper Beech Tree Surgery
It was a great shame to remove this mature Copper Beech tree. Approximately a third of its crown was lost in high winds. We were asked to climb the tree and carry out an inspection to establish whether or not the tree could be saved. Upon climbing the tree it became clear why the crown had suffered, this was due to a large amount of decay present within the stem of the tree. The worry to the owners was that the remaining part of the crown would suffer the same fate. The decision was made to entirely remove the tree from a safety point of view and then to replant another Beech tree. We climbed and dismantled the tree to a point where it could then be felled. All branches were chipped and timber removed.
